Eastern Europe host the shakedown tests for the prototype Caesar.  “Because of it’s balanced compact power unit it happens to be quite high revving” enthused Manfred Gablick, who remains loyal to the over- square side valve layout, despite derision from more contemporary engineers who are doggedly fashionable and thoroughly up to date.

During endurance testing the machine was put to another use.  The local air force used the gyroplane which suited their mixed environment perfectly and they were keen to speed up their scramble times. So as soon as the motorcycle could be heard coming up to the castle beyond the air field  the gyroplanes were scrambled into use, the goal being to beat the motorcycle to the far end of the air field. It could be quite frenzied and a very close run contest.

Because of an incident between the two machines, the outcome of who was the fastest to the far end was never fully decided but neither the rider nor the pilot was seriously injured.
