The Battle
The Battle

The Copenhagen-venice rallies were a major flat out endurance event.  Upon reflection the organisers wondered how this year the stages ever managed to get under way.  Magnus Harket captured here being pursued by long time adversary Captain Glieck (who only narrowly avoided being de-handed then be-headed just prior to the event in the middle east) had a very close shave with a swollen dyke in northern Europe.

Massive storms throughout central Europe cause perilous flash flooding in Bavaria and across the Alps.

This part of the event was called off, but the racers not being informed, finished the stage in record breaking time despite Glieck’s sleeve valve radial 8 developing ignition problems. (So he says!) A bad workman always blames his tools and all that.
